Viimeiselle matkalleen Olivebank l\u00e4hti painolastissa elokuussa1939 Walesin Barryst\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4np\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n kotisatama. 8.9 sen tielle osui kavala miina. P\u00e4\u00e4llikk\u00f6 ja 13 merimiest\u00e4 menehtyiv\u00e4t, seitsem\u00e4n saatiin pelastettua heid\u00e4n sinnitelty\u00e4 42 tuntia veden pinnan p\u00e4\u00e4lle ylt\u00e4neess\u00e4 keulam\u00e4rssyss\u00e4.
